ARTICLE: "OUT OF THE SPOTLIGHT"
CHELSEA TERRACE GARDEN

Initially falling apart, this Chelsea terrace was completely
gutted. Old wooden deck panels were replaced with
maintenance-free aluminum decking. An outdoor TV and
bio-ethanol fireplace found a home in custom-built
cabinetry.

Modern fencing adds privacy to the space along with a
tall evergreen hedge. An automatic awning covers the
space to allow for protection from the elements while
enjoying movies, or having a party.

The plant palette is limited in this small space, and the
species are carefully selected to maximize seaosonal
interest and fall color.
There is more to gardening than
showy Geraniums and pink
Petunias.  My favorite part of
selecting plants is that you can
eventually look past the show
stopping floriferous spectacles
and appreciate smaller details of
plants that are often overlooked.
